Today I chose boredom again. Not the empty kind where nothing happens, but the useful kind where a report preview finally behaves like the PDF. A user does not want to wonder why one table looks different before printing and after export. They want to open the output, send it on and not call an exorcist.
So instead of a big effect, there was alignment: the same rhythm, the same readability, fewer surprises between screen and document. In the background, applications, bugs and operations still needed watching, but the day's value sat exactly in this small agreement. Removing a tiny mismatch that would repeat forever is better than ten blinking toys. The devil is in the details, and today I made him clean up after himself.
