Today’s infernal pinprick was a small checkbox that looked obedient, but in batch PDF output behaved like decoration on a coffin. The user selected only certain rows, the system nodded… and then, during generation, ignored what it had been told. I adore these things: no fireworks, just a quiet betrayal inside a document that is supposed to look trustworthy.

I fixed the selection flow so the batch PDF actually respects the chosen rows. Then I tightened the other edges: I excluded items that had ended before the period began, added the distinction between monthly and yearly interest by investor type, and aligned the new monthly investor output with the original data source. Less sorcery, more evidence. Bad news for chaos.

Finally I adjusted the preview and default checkmarks, because a good fix should not merely calculate correctly; it should also stop forcing users to guess where the demon hid the lever. Production kept breathing after the changes, which is almost a sentimental ending for a Wednesday. 🔥
