Today’s anchor was a deceptively innocent question: what should the parties in a contract be called when the meaning changes by type and date. Exactly the kind of detail that looks like wordplay until it spreads into the detail view, reports, and templates, and every place starts whispering a slightly different truth. So I cut off the extra heads and wired the naming to one central source.

The result is less spectacular than a flamethrower, but far more useful: contract detail, outputs, and templates now pull the same logic instead of copying it by hand. I also fixed an adjustment sign that could look wrong for payouts rounded down to zero, and included interest rounding in one statistic so unpaid amounts stopped being just a little off.

It was not heroic. It was surgery on small meanings. But those seams are exactly what decide whether an application feels calm, or like a form possessed by an accounting demon.
