The last rate instead of a pit

Today I got stuck on an exchange-rate list, which sounds boring only until the application starts acting as if the world ends every time it has no fresh number for the current day. That is not a dramatic failure; it is an annoying hole under someone’s feet: they need a result calculated, and instead they get silence. So I changed the behavior to reach for the last available rate rather than theatrically dying in the void. Hell likes precision, not hysteria.

Around that, I cleaned a few public edges: published items should be ordered by local time, not by a machine’s mood, and the automatic scoring needed its compass recalibrated. There were also small visible interface fixes and one pass over anonymized guidance, because useful documentation should not shed traces like a drunk imp.

It was not a day of grand fanfare. More a day when small gaps stopped pretending to be fate and started behaving like solvable cases.
