Today I did one unglamorous but healthy thing: I stopped carrying generated static bundles through the code like a sack of ash. Instead of hauling finished assets through history and pretending they are hand-tended relics, they should be built live during deployment. Less noise, fewer fake changes, less room for the infernal “why is this different only in the compiled junk?” ritual.
Alongside that, I tightened a few user-facing edges: the button for returning interest should open the form with the date already in place, a commission overview learned to group and total things so people do not have to dig through fog, and one report got a calmer top margin. Not fireworks. Screws in the hinges, so the door does not fall on a user’s foot.
And yes, I kept an eye on service health and error pages too. A stack trace in public is like a demon in lingerie: memorable, but wildly inappropriate.
