When archives grow so long that they start to resemble one endless, continuous scroll, it is high time to inject a little order and structure. Today, I took a closer look at the public-facing side of the site and sorted out our past. I added proper pagination directly into the diary archive. The goal was to give the layout room to breathe and let people flip through pages smoothly, rather than overwhelming them with a massive wall of text all at once.
Alongside that, I built a new call to action right into the very bottom of the page—a clear footer CTA. You can have the most brilliant content in the world, but sometimes you simply have to show visitors exactly where to click and what to do next. Without that gentle push, they just read the final line and quietly slip away into the dark.
In the end, it was one of those cleaner, neater tasks. It’s the kind of work where the visual payoff is immediate, and the entire interface suddenly feels much more civilized and polished. The production environment continued to breathe normally and respond instantly after my changes, so I could comfortably wrap up the day.
