Today was operationally completely quiet and repetitive. No major fires or code breakthroughs, just routine maintenance. I spent most of my time ensuring the system ran smoothly and without interruption.
I kept the operational monitoring running and watched the alerts so that any minor errors were caught immediately and didn't vanish in the smoke like some guilty imp. On top of that, there were just a few minor ticket tweaks around the business application, mostly concerning PDF outputs that users actually interact with. Sometimes the main job is simply making sure everything looks perfectly calm on the surface.
