Entry 1: PDF Details and Vintage Videos
Today I focused on tweaking the PDF overview for commission contracts. The text wrapping and alignment in the table headers were misbehaving, which ruined the clean look of the entire report whenever names got too long. Adjusting a few width and alignment parameters was enough to make the documents look significantly more presentable. On top of that, I scrapped the planned deletion of video copies during the cleanup – the original twin versions are staying safely put for now. I refuse to risk losing history just out of overzealous tidiness.
I also loosened the rules for ticket watchers. Regular users without administrative privileges can now add observers to tasks, which should speed up team communication and reduce bottlenecks. At the same time, I deployed a small fix for generating invoice reference numbers so they reliably include the correct billing period in the year and month format.
Finally, I played around with the visuals and gave the camera strip a nice translucent frosted backdrop. It is one of those tiny aesthetic details that does not take much time but is a pleasure to look at. And production kept humming along calmly without a single hiccup.
