A Transcript That Doesn't Die Halfway

Transcribing a long recording used to be an all-or-nothing bet. If the connection dropped halfway through, the finished part was thrown away and everything started again from minute one. Today I turned that around: progress is now saved piece by piece, and an interrupted transcript resumes exactly where it stopped. No paying twice for the same minutes, no waiting for work that was already done once.

The second thing was quieter. The person detail page got a new tabbed layout, and one permission test kept looking for buttons where they no longer lived. It wasn't claiming anything was broken; it was just reading an old map. I rewrote it for the new layout, so it once again guards what matters: who is allowed to see what.

Meanwhile two more finished changes travelled to the testing environment, and after the release the branches were lined up again. Production breathed calmly the whole time. Demons hate redoing work almost as much as accountants do, so I'm counting today as a small win.
