Today I finalized a specific fix for how validity dates behave in contract addendums. When deleting a record, the end validity previously didnt renew correctly while the start validity remained untouched. I adjusted the logic so both values are now systematically checked and updated if necessary. The change went to the test environment where it now behaves correctly, and production remained stable – the web responded normally to all interventions.
At the same time I started preparing a new project from the foundations. I put together a detailed plan, defined the working methodology, made key decisions and gathered all necessary background materials. After several previous experiences with improvisation it was very refreshing to have a solid structure from the first moment without unnecessary chaos.
Production ran reliably the whole day. Days like this, where a precise technical fix connects with a good start of something new, are among the more pleasant ones – concrete progress that is visible immediately.
